My name is Adrián Font, and you have found yourself in the DND design document and adventure archive of my Dragon Heist Campaign as a Dungeon Master.
Here, I'll primarily provide an overall Campaign summary of the narrative thus far, as well as links to more detailed pages with information on character development, relationships network, and so on.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!
The campaign is set in Waterdeep, one of the largest cities in the D&D universe, and players will be engulfed by its mysteries, social and political environment, and treasure hunt.
The first thing players will do after gathering is meet Volothamp Geddarm, who will place them in the dark dealings of the city and into a massive faction war in search of a massive hoard of gold within the city gates
Players and I collaborated on modifying some of the campaign's predetermined rules; I did this to better adapt to the various types of players in my party.
Because the entire party values a narrative focus on the game experience, I did not only choose a villain for the party but assigned each of the different five antagonists to each player to later incorporate such character into their backgrounds. I am aware that this is not a simple process and that it does not always work as expected, but I believe I have created well-structured and organized content that is delivered at the precise time for this idea to work and properly deliver a more personal experience.
I'm writing this documentation to express my design as a game developer and to learn while improving my skills, the pages that follow explain what these missions are, how they've been implemented, how they affect the already established story and pacing, and so on. I hope you enjoy it. Dungeons and Dragons has become one of my favourite games to play, and creating and testing experiences has helped me progressively improve in the game design and narrative fields.
